Job Summary
The Financial Operations Analyst supports financial analysis and operational decision-making in a manufacturing environment. This role combines financial reporting, cost analysis, audit support, and hands-on operational backup. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across finance and operations in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing financial data, including trends, variances, and performance metrics
- Review job and production costs to support accurate costing and profitability
- Assist with monthly and periodic financial reporting
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Monitor cost drivers and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost improvement
- Provide backup support for operational functions such as:
- Purchasing and procurement
- Payroll processing and related controls
- Other finance or administrative processes as needed
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership teams
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Manufacturing or operations experience preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Job costing and cost accounting
- Audit processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/financial systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
