Summary:
A local Green County employer is seeking Quality Control Technicians to support product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance within a food production environment. This role is responsible for monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and supporting sanitation efforts to maintain a clean and controlled facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preventing contamination, identifying quality issues, and ensuring products meet company and regulatory standards.

This role is responsible for monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and supporting sanitation efforts to maintain a clean and controlled facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preventing contamination, identifying quality issues, and ensuring products meet company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Perform routine quality checks, inspections, and documentation throughout production
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues or deviations
- Ensure adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and company quality procedures
- Collect samples and assist with product testing and verification processes
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions
- Work closely with production teams to ensure consistent product quality and minimize waste
- Support sanitation efforts by verifying proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and production areas
- Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment and areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a production environment
- Ability to work in wet, hot, or cold environments and handle physical tasks as needed
