We are seeking a skilled Stick Welder to join a manufacturing team producing modular and manufactured homes. This role involves fabricating and assembling steel components such as frames, supports, and structural elements in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel frames and components (primary process)
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Fabricate, position, and secure structural parts for home chassis and framing
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with MIG welding (Stick welding experience preferred)
- Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.)
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous welding experience in manufacturing or construction
- AWS certification or similar (preferred but not required)
- Experience working in a production environment
