Accounting and Payroll Clerk
Job Description:
A local company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting and Payroll Clerk to join their team. This position supports daily office operations with a strong emphasis on payroll processing, accounting tasks, accurate documentation, and date entry. The role also assists with supporting general operations and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll, verify timesheets, and maintain accurate employee pay records
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and reconciling daily financial transactions
- Perform daily data entry, maintain organized records, and support general accounting functions
- Answer phones, assist drivers and customers, and provide dependable administrative support
- Coordinate daily load schedules and ensure proper documentation for audits and reporting
Qualifications:
- Accounting experience preferred and familiarity with payroll systems is required
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills; experience with accounting software is a plus.
