Are you passionate about science and quality control? A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Lab Technician to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine physical, chemical, and microbiological testing on gelatin and related materials to ensure product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare samples of manufactured product, in-process materials, by-products, and raw materials.
- Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical tests according to established procedures.
- Analyze finished, semi-finished, and environmental samples as needed.
- Identify and report non-conforming products to quality management.
- Maintain accurate lab reports and enter test data into computer systems.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations, performing routine testing as needed.
- Prepare media and stock solutions for testing.
- Maintain clean, organized lab workspaces and properly care for equipment.
- Calibrate or verify lab equipment where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a science-related field.
Schedule:
- Day shift position with occasional weekend rotation and overtime required.
