We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Plant Manager to oversee and lead the steel fabrication manufacturing operations in McGregor, Texas. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective plant operations, meeting production goals, maintaining high safety standards, and managing a team of employees. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven track record of driving performance in the steel fabrication or related industry. This position is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning, the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their benefits package.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the steel fabrication plant, including production, safety, quality control, maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve production goals, increase efficiency, and improve processes.
  • Monitor and maintain plant performance metrics, including production output, quality, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the plant.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and guidance to employees.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement by identifying areas for operational enhancements and implementing best practices.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including procurement, logistics, and engineering, to ensure smooth and timely operations.
  • Maintain and manage plant budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 10 years of experience in plant management or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment (steel fabrication experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing plant operations, driving process improvements, and achieving production targets.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control.
  • Reading, writing and speaking proficiently in English, verbal Spanish proficiency is a plus.
