WELDER
SHIFT: 1ST
WAGE: $20-$23/HOUR
LOCATION: CEDAR RAPIDS, IA
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components used in HVAC equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Grind, clean, and finish welded parts
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with MIG welding (TIG is often a plus)
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements
- Familiarity with metal fabrication tools (grinders, cutters, etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
- High school diploma or GED; welding certification is often preferred
