Professional Engineer – Civil

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional Civil Engineer – Civil to manage a variety of engineering projects. This position involves planning, designing, and preparing specifications for civil engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure the successful execution of projects, from conceptual development through construction. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Specification Preparation: Develop detailed civil engineering plans, designs, and specifications for various projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Support During Construction: Assist project managers by reviewing shop drawings, providing technical input, and conducting on-site observations during concrete pours and other construction activities.
- Technical Evaluation Reports: Prepare technical evaluation reports, documenting findings and providing recommendations related to design and construction issues.
- Client Meetings: Meet with client committees to discuss project progress, present conceptual site plans, and gather input to refine project designs.
- Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical or design-related issues during project implementation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on site development, infrastructure, or similar projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, and knowledge of construction processes, including concrete work and materials.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and contractors.
- Travel: Required at certain stages of the project and can be 3-4 days per week during “peak time”, but 4 to 5 days per month during the “off season”.
