BLENDER OPERATOR
WAGE: $16/HOUR
HOURS: 9AM - 5PM MON - FRI
Position Summary
The Blender Operator is responsible for operating blending equipment and supporting plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate production of blended agricultural products (such as feed ingredients, oils, or other related products). The role involves closely following production instructions, maintaining equipment and work areas, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor blending equipment to combine raw materials into finished products according to production instructions and blend sheets.
- Load and unload trucks/railcars with raw materials and finished products, as assigned.
- Maintain proper setup and calibration of blending equipment.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure blends meet specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
- Record production data, batch results, and required documentation.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures
- Communicate with supervisors and team members about production issues or material needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work from blend sheets or production schedules.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 75lbs, standing, and walking.
- 0–2 years of experience in blending, manufacturing, or production environments preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
