MATERIAL HANDLER--NIGHT SHIFT
HOURS: M–Th, 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM
LOCATION: DYERSVILLE AREA
WAGE: $22/HOUR
Must be able to train for the first approximate 2 months on 1st shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:45 AM to 3:15 PM).
Responsible for keeping production and packaging lines fully stocked with raw materials to maintain continuous operation throughout the shift. Pre-stages materials for upcoming shifts, operates material handling equipment, and accurately documents inventory to prevent production interruptions. Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Keep production and packaging lines stocked with necessary materials and pre-stage for the next shift.
- Accurately document the use of goods, including lot and item numbers, and print required labels.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport raw materials safely throughout the facility.
- Work alongside packaging and production crews to stage materials and sub in as a Packaging Technician when necessary.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to maintain inventory accuracy and complete inventory checks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the packaging area and sustain general housekeeping standards.
- Follow all GMPs, health, and food safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by site management.
Qualifications include:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Forklift certification required.
- Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to operate inline bagger equipment (Matrix).
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Must be able to work the night schedule and complete the required 1st shift training period.
