Licensed Electrician – Manufacturing
Shift: 1st shift
Direct Hire
Wage: $45-$55/hour
Location: Green County, WI area

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant-wide electrical systems, including 3-phase power distribution and motor control centers (MCCs).
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and food manufacturing standards.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and circuit protection evaluations.
  • Support the programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems.
  • Lead electrical aspects of equipment installations, facility upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation teams to minimize downtime and maintain food safety requirements.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for electrical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including schematics, electrical drawings, preventive maintenance records, and panel schedules.
  • Oversee electrical infrastructure such as backup generators, UPS systems, lighting systems, and distribution equipment.
  • Promote compliance with food industry electrical practices, including hygienic installations and sanitary design requirements.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety procedures, and electrical safe work practices throughout the facility.
Qualifications
Required
  • Valid Master Electrician License.
  • Minimum 7 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing, beverage, dairy, or other sanitary production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA requirements, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience working with 480V three-phase systems, MCCs, motor controls, and industrial electrical distribution.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and ladder logic drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking and control system integration.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs as they relate to electrical maintenance.
  • Experience with sanitary electrical installations, including stainless-steel enclosures and sealed conduit systems.
  • Familiarity with food processing equipment such as conveyors, fillers, weighers, and CIP systems.
