Fabrication Machine Operator-3rd Shift

11pm-7:30am Sunday-Thursday
$22/hour, plus 15% shift premium
Overview:
Prepare and process parts prior to assembly.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides and turntables, based on blueprints, specifications, and work orders
- Maintains specifications and regulates machining by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, and setting and adjusting controls and replacing dies.
- Produces parts by locating and marking reference points on workpiece with rule, compass, template, etc., positioning or aligning workpiece against stops and guides or with die, operating equipment
- Resolves production problems by altering process to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions' troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintains stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock, placing and expediting orders for stock, verifying receipt of stock.
- Maintains production by identifying space for staged components; delivering components to work centers; requisitioning and verifying additional components.
- Completes production record by recording and delivering tubs and pallets of finished stock; document actions by completing production, quality and time forms.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations and wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of shop math
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications and follow procedures
- Prior manufacturing and machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to stand for full shift, frequently crouch, kneel, bend or stoop.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
