A fast-growing tech company is hiring a Finance Operations Lead to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. In this direct hire role, you’ll be placed directly on the company’s payroll with access to their full benefits package. You’ll own key financial operations—from invoicing and billing to payroll and customer service—playing a critical part in ensuring operational accuracy, efficiency and growth. . The ideal candidate will manage daily financial operations, develop budgets, support leadership with data-driven decision-making, and ensure all financial practices align with compliance standards and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead all day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, banking, and reconciliations
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Analyze financial performance and develop insightful commentary on key drivers and variances
- Maintain and enhance internal reporting systems to support data-driven business decisions
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop and manage the annual budget process, working closely with department leaders
- Provide rolling forecasts and assist with scenario planning to support company strategy
- Monitor actual results vs. budget and proactively recommend corrective actions when needed
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and reporting requirements
- Manage annual audit and coordinate with external auditors and accounting firms
- Maintain proper internal controls and implement process improvements to safeguard assets
- Oversee sales tax, property tax, insurance renewals, and other regulatory filings
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a key financial advisor to the executive leadership team
- Present financial data and recommendations in clear, actionable formats to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Partner with HR, Operations, and other departments to support cross-functional initiatives
What We'd Like You To Bring To The Opportunity
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in a small to mid-sized business
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Workspace (G-Suite)
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial modeling
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and a sense of urgency
