Custom Cabinet Maker/CNC Operator
Location: On-site, Edgewood, IA
1st Shift - Mon-Thu, 5am-2:30pm, Fri, 5-9am

Client is looking for a self-motivated, skilled, hardworking candidate to join their custom cabinet manufacturing team. Ideally, They are looking for a woodworker with experience in a production cabinet or furniture shop environment. You will play a crucial role in the production of precision-cut components and parts that contribute to our exceptional quality cabinetry.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build high quality functional cabinets.
  • Operate CNC machine to produce precision parts.
  • Build drawer boxes and apply edge-banding shelves.
  • Interpret & read shop drawings and blueprints, to understand requirements.
  • Move raw material to and from machines, moving parts to designated areas.
  • Monitor the machine’s performance during operation to ensure that it is functioning properly; identify any issues as they arise.
  • Use woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble cabinets and components.
  • Use of various millwork machinery including table saws, bandsaw, sanders, hand tools, wood glue, screws, dowels, and other fasteners to complete the project.
  • Collaborate with design and production team to increase workflow and production.
  • Construct cabinets using various joinery techniques such as dovetail.
  • Conduct quality control checks to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a cabinet maker or carpenter, with a portfolio of completed projects, two years preferred.
  • Proficient in woodworking techniques, tools and machinery including CNC.
  • Knowledge of various wood species and characteristics.
  • Precision in measurements, cuts, and assembly to ensure high-quality craftmanship.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions.
  • Experience with power tool operation (chop saw, table saw, sanders, drills etc.) and measurement tools
  • Excellent math skills and high attention to detail..
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with designers and other team members effectively.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
