MIG Welder | Manchester, IA
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm
3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am
$21+/Hour, Based on Experience
Additional 15% Shift Premium
Responsible for assembling products using hand-held welding and flame-cutting equipment to join metal components following assembly instructions and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and part lists
- Positions parts and assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
- Corrects welds by chipping and grinding
- Conduct self inspections
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions
- Preventative maintenance on machinery
- Document action items
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year welding experience
- Proven ability to weld using Mig hand-held welder
- Basic understanding of shop math
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and specifications
- Ability to work overtime
- Longevity in prior work history
