CNC MACHINISTS- LATHES AND MILLS
SHIFTS: 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT
LOCATION: FARLEY, IA
WAGE: $22+ DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE
Job Summary
Sedona is seeking CNC Machinists that do sets up, operates, and maintains CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to manufacture precision metal parts and components used in industrial equipment and mining machinery. The machinist reads blueprints, programs machines, performs quality inspections, and ensures parts meet exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations
- Adjust machine settings and tooling for precision machining
- Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Perform quality inspections to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor maintenance
- Maintain production records and follow safety procedures
- Work with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CNC machining certification or technical training preferred
- Experience operating CNC equipment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift materials and stand for long periods
Preferred Experience
- Experience with industrial manufacturing or mining equipment
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak controls
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
