PRODUCTION OPERATORS
HOURS: TRAIN ON 2ND SHIFT, THEN MOVE TO 3RD SHIFT
WAGE: $18/HOUR
LOCATION: PRARIIE DU CHIEN
The Production Operator is a critical role within the automotive manufacturing process, responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, assembling parts, and ensuring that production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner. The operator will work as part of a team to produce high-quality automotive components while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Production Machinery: Set up, operate, and monitor automated machinery and equipment used in the production of automotive parts.
Assembly: Assemble automotive parts or components according to specific guidelines, ensuring high-quality standards.
Quality Control: Inspect parts and components for defects, ensuring they meet quality specifications. Report issues or defects to the quality control team.
Production Monitoring: Monitor the production line for any issues that may cause downtime, work with maintenance teams to address problems quickly, and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with OSHA regulations and company-specific safety standards. Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production quantities, downtime, and quality inspections.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments, including maintenance and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets.
Troubleshooting: Identify and address production issues such as equipment malfunctions or deviations in the production process.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas for increasing production efficiency and quality.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications or training in manufacturing processes preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in automotive manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Ability to operate automated machinery and production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects or irregularities in products.
Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or production schedules.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in a manufacturing environment with noise and varying temperatures.
Work Environment: Fast-paced, assembly line environment. May involve working with hazardous materials or machinery, so adherence to safety procedures is essential.
