Assistant Retail Store Manager
Location: Dubuque IA
Pay: $18/hr
Work Schedule: Full-time hours with a consistent schedule, weekend availability required

Job Summary: The Assistant Retail Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail and operational activities to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and compliance with store standards. This role assists with staff supervision, customer transactions, and operational procedures while helping drive store performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and staff support.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting with shipping, packaging, printing, and retail transactions.
- Supervise and support team members to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and issue resolution in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain store appearance, inventory levels, and merchandising standards.
- Process shipments, returns, mail services, and related documentation accurately.
- Support training of new employees and reinforce operational and safety procedures.
- Monitor workflow and assist in meeting sales and service performance goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, computers, and basic office equipment.
- Reliable attendance and flexible availability, including occasional weekends if required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift/move packages up to approximately 50 lbs.
