The Robotic Welder is responsible for accurately welding a variety of materials and thicknesses according to customer specifications, established quality standards, and production requirements.
WELDER – RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program, set up, and operate robotic and manual welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot robotic welding systems, controllers, sensors, tooling, and related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on welding robots and tooling.
- Monitor weld quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistency and performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Develop, modify, and optimize robotic welding programs to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
- Safely set up and prepare parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
- Align, position, and fit components into fixtures according to specifications.
- Set up and operate automated welding equipment.
- Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and quality records.
- Ensure all work meets established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, 5S, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and other applicable processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Previous welding experience or completion of a welding trade school program required.
- Successful completion of an in-house welding test required.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required.
