The Manual Welder is responsible for accurately welding a variety of materials and thicknesses according to customer specifications, established quality standards, and production requirements.
MANUAL WELDER – RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely set up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Align, position, and fit components into fixtures according to specifications.
- Set up and operate automated welding equipment as required.
- Monitor weld quality and make adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure completed work meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MANUAL WELDER – JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and other applicable processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Previous welding experience or completion of a welding trade school program required.
- Successful completion of an in-house welding test required.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required.
