Sedona Staffing Services is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Network Operations Center Technician / Customer Support Specialist for a growing telecommunications organization in Elkader, Iowa.
This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers, assisting with technical support, service requests, troubleshooting, and coordinating field technician dispatches.
Responsibilities
- Answer and respond to customer calls regarding service orders, technical issues, and general service inquiries.
- Provide first-level technical support for internet, phone, and related communication services.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, equipment, and service-related issues.
- Monitor network alarms and respond according to established procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate technician appointments and dispatches.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status and updates.
- Recommend products and services based on customer needs.
- Assist with provisioning and activation of services.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical support, telecommunications, networking, IT help desk, or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Internet technologies
- Networking fundamentals
- Routers and switches
- Broadband services
- Cable and digital technologies
- Technical troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Skills
- Telecommunications or ISP industry experience.
- Experience using ticketing systems and support software.
