We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for a cheese plant located in Monroe, WI. Candidates must have previous experience working as a maintenance technician in a cheese plant.
This position is paid DOE. Please submit your hourly/salary requirements along with resume.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm. Some Saturdays are required.
As the maintenance technician you will perform variety of advanced activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition following established procedures and receiving direction from the Maintenance Supervisor. These activities include electrical, plumbing, fixtures, doors, HVAC, and preventative maintenance.
Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Maintain full proficiency in all department areas and designated area of specialization (ex. PLC/Electrical)
Partners with production personnel to fully understand technical situations and best options to pursue
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, building facilities, and vehicles
Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Forklift, scissors, and aerial lift license
Proficiency in Machinist training, Welding, Fabrication
Course work with satisfactory grades or certification in machine shop, welding, fabrication, piping, PLC, and electrical
Intermediate computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and blue print reading skills
Strong technical understanding, equipment maintenance, power tool, and welding skills
