A growing manufacturer in Manchester, IA is seeking to add a driven Human Resources Generalist to their HR team. In this role you will lead the hiring company’s recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and performance management. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the best fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for hiring company’s robust benefits package.
What you get to do (in a snap shot):
- Administer various HR functions including full-cycle of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Coordinate the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
- Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process
- Prepares and inputs payroll data into payroll system and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hours laws.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Support employee training and development initiatives.
What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources and 2+ years of Human Resources experience strongly preferred.
- Working experience with a HRIS and or talent management system (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel
- Proven ability to interact with team members and department heads with candor, tact, patience, and diplomacy.
- Organized, detail-oriented and proficient at follow-up.
