1st Shift M-F 7am-4pm
* Issues parts from parts room and obtains requisition slip for each item. * Performs weekly cycle count as instructed by Parts Room Clerk. * Tags new parts with proper tags, including OEM part number, description, location, and machine. * Organize & count parts that are currently in a warehouse and place in the proper location in the parts room. * Input part and description data into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), SOMAX. * Receive new parts being delivered to parts room, daily. * Prepares packing lists of items to be returned to the supplier. * Computer skills required (Microsoft Office). * Occasional heavy lifting of parts and equipment, up to 40 pounds. * Basic office skills. * Other duties as assigned by Parts Room Clerk. The position involves the purchasing and coordination of maintenance supplies. Education and Work History: Excellent computer skills and knowledge of industrial parts and machinery are imperative. High school diploma or GED PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. Knowledge using the SOMAX system a plus. Experience with parts inventory management is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of parts required for electrical and mechanical systems is critical. Able to communicate effectively – both written and orally. Computer literate. Position requires organizational skills in addition to the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting up to 40 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation. May work extended hours and/or weekends.
