On-Site Repair Technician – Manchester, IA

We’re looking for a hands-on technician to join our high-performance computing facility. If you’re mechanically or electrically inclined and enjoy troubleshooting hardware, this role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with interesting tech.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and repair specialized computing equipment
- Diagnose hardware/software issues
- Replace or repair components like boards, power supplies, and cooling systems
- Install and configure new hardware
- Keep detailed maintenance records
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical training or experience in electronics, electrical, or mechanical repair
- Basic Electrical Skills Required:
- Understand single-phase and three-phase power.
- Identify and work safely with common voltage levels (120V, 208V, 240V, 277V, 480V).
- Read and interpret electrical panels, PDUs, and RPPs.
- Perform safe power connections (C13, C19, L6-30, etc.).
- Apply proper grounding and bonding practices.
Use multimeters and clamp meters for testing and troubleshooting. - Understand UPS systems, battery banks, and bypass switches.
- Know how ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) and generators operate.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Comply with electrical safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and occasionally respond to after-hours needs
- Experience in data center, industrial, or electronics repair a plus
