The Trim Press Operator is responsible for operating a trim press machine to remove excess material from die-cast or molded parts, ensuring finished components meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate trim press machinery to trim flash from die-cast or molded parts.
Load and unload parts into trim press dies according to specifications.
Inspect finished parts for defects such as cracks, deformities, or incomplete trimming.
Adjust machine settings and perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate production records, including quantities, scrap, and downtime.
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with machine setup and changeovers as needed.
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S or lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or basic mechanical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
