Sedona, in partnership with a local Northeastern Iowa manufacturer is seeking an Information Systems and Technology Manager. The IT Manager will oversee the company’s technology operations, manage the IT team, and develop the IT strategy to support our client’s manufacturing processes and business objectives. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT leader who is skilled in managing both infrastructure and people and has a passion for leveraging technology to drive operational success in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the right fit candidate would go directly onto the hiring company payroll and be eligible for benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy Development: Create and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration with production, logistics, and business functions.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- System Management: Oversee the selection, installation, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and ERP systems.
- Process Improvement: Partner with manufacturing leadership and operations teams to identify process improvements through technology, supporting automation, inventory management, and production efficiencies.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts, managing service agreements, and ensuring quality support.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in IT management, with experience in manufacturing / production setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network and server management, ERP systems (experience with Epicor is a plus), cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure planning.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
