A local Edgerton manufacturer is looking to add a Distribution Center General Manager to their team. The Distribution Center Manager will oversee all aspects of our distribution center operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team, coordinate with various departments, and maintain a high standard of customer service. The right fit candidate will have multiple location DC leadership experience.
What you get to do:
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
- Budget Management: Capital planning/ execution, budgeting, forecasting, and operating expense management for warehouse & transportation.
- Team Leadership: Manage safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, cash and cost performance, build continuous improvement plans to drive results. Responsible for establishing a culture of safety throughout the operation. Facilitate regular meetings with supervisors and key team leads to review safety & performance goals and results. Partner and collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business priorities and to implement strategic initiatives and tactics. Create a culture of collaboration & open communication.
- Safety and Compliance: Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
What we need from you:
- 5+ years of management experience leading teams in a supply chain field and proven experience with cross-functional teams in making sound business decisions that successfully drive business initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
