Salary Range: $35k - $40k

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
In this role you will assist and support the Store Manager. As the Assistant Manager, you’ll be expected to help identify projects and insure they’re completed, assist with proper coverage throughout departments, and assisting with customer service issues. You must be able to perform the functions of opening and closing the store, as well as be a liaison between manager and hourly associates. When needed, you must be willing to work in sales and with cashier functions. Having excellent communication skills are required. There will be times you are required to work some nights and rotating weekends. Must have ability to lift up to 60lbs.
The store has the following product lines: agricultural, electrical, hardware, sporting goods, clothing, automotive products, plumbing, home improvement, etc.
The hired individual with have paid training to prepare for the duties and responsibilities necessary to assist the Store Manager in daily operations of running the store.
Relevant work experience – At least 1 year
High School Diploma – Business degree preferred
Experience in leadership role
