A local large Madison, WI company is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join their HRIS team. The right fit candidate with partner with business subject matter experience within the hiring company regarding HR, Payroll, Tax departments to maintain and improve the HRIS environment through functional and technical analysis. To be a candidate you must possess strong communication and customer service skill and help drive results.
 
What you get to do:

Manage and enhance HR Systems, prioritizing work coming in through different channels and from different businesses
Use critical thinking skills to assess change requests through a broad lens, considering upstream and downstream system and process impacts
Develop and maintain communications and relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and clients, seeking to understand business processes and anticipate system/process gaps
Participate in and/or lead small to medium sized projects, using HR knowledge and system expertise to ensure success
Continuously evaluate opportunities for improvement in current functionality or processes, including seeking out opportunities for alignment across the different companies
Follow IT process methodologies and procedures in change management, work intake, project management, documentation, and SLA’s
Develop and maintain HRIS-specific operation standards, procedures and guidelines
Implement process improvements and system enhancements of mid to high complexity to meet customer and business needs
Complete current state analysis, gap assessments, solution design, future state validation, testing, and implementation
Develop and implement learning materials in support of systems and processes
Maintain data in systems and perform audits to keep information clean

 
What we need from you:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
5+ years’ work experience in business systems analysis
A minimum of 3 years work experience with SAP including but not limited to HR specific SAP programs
Experience in system and process design which includes developing and executing process improvements
Experience leading small to medium projects or initiatives
Ideal candidates have experience working with HR and Payroll tables, data and processes
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
