Job Summary: The Drill Press Operator is responsible for the loading, positioning, holding, and unloading of small crank components into a drill press in a high-speed production environment. This role requires consistent focus and attention to detail to ensure all parts are properly aligned and meet established quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Load, secure, and unload small crank components into the drill press
- Operate equipment in a fast-paced environment with an expected cycle time of approximately 2–3 seconds per part
- Maintain consistent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts
- Verify proper alignment and positioning of components during operation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
- Communicate any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to maintain steady performance throughout the shift
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures consistently
- Reliability and willingness to work as part of a production team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a high-volume manufacturing environment
