A local care facility is looking for a Culinary Coordinator to assist with the coordination of the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30pm
Is willing to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English language.
Regular attendance is required.
Cooking and supervisory experience
Lift up to 50#
Must be able to follow standardized recipes.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to perform simple calculations.
Coordinates and directs the staff in the absence of the Food and Nutrition Services Director.
Train all staff to ensure sanitation and safety standards are met. Utilizing the Dietary 101 programs from Martin Bros.
Develop work schedules .
Oversee schedule changes and back up coverage.
Conduct routine resident’s nutritional screenings upon admission and as warranted by MDS which includes food/fluid intake.
Calculate nutrient intake.
Identify nutritional problems
Implement diet plan and physicians diet orders
Protect food in all phases of preparation, holding, service, cooling, and transportation.
Prepare and serve food/beverages to residents, staff and guests in the highest degree of palatability, quality and presentation possible.
Take food and beverage temperatures to assure proper safety measures and maintain proper food/beverage temperatures.
Ensure proper portions are served to residents, staff and guests.
Acts as a positive representative of the facility at all times.
