1 st Shift 5am-3pm Monday thru Thursday (occasional Fridays)
Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to assemble high grade furniture by performing the following duties. Also, may include packaging and cartoning the product, loading the trucks for shipment, and preparing parcel shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
Reads shipping notices and other specifications and inspects product to determine size and shape of container, materials to be used and types of supports and braces to be used.
Matches materials for color, grain, or texture.
Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws and miter saws to cut and shape parts from wood stock.
Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels.
Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.
Hangs doors, mounts drawers and shelves, and installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
Repairs high grade articles of furniture.
Attaches identification labels containing such information as shipping destination, weight, and type of product in container.
Loads product into trailers and customers pickups.
